The Continental Tour Turku – Paavo Nurmi Games is the next of over 200 World Athletics Continental Tour events planned for 2024, and you don’t want to miss any of the fun and excitement at the Paavo Nurmi Stadium in Turku, Finland.

The meeting is the seventh of a total of eleven gold-level events on the 2024 Continental Tour program and brings top athletes from all over the world to Finland.

With the track and field season drawing to a close in September, there aren't many opportunities left to see the world's top track and field stars in action, so be sure to tune in.

The Paavo Nurmi Games are just one part of the Paavo Nurmi Festival, which is held in honour of the legendary Finnish runner Paavo Nurmi, who won nine Olympic gold medals in the 1920s. The first Paavo Nurmi Games were held in 1957 as a gift for Nurmi's 60th birthday.

Since 2020, the meeting has been a gold event on the World Athletics Continental Tour.

Men's events at the 2024 Paavo Nurmi Games include 100 metres, 800 metres, 1,500 metres, 3,000 metres steeplechase, 110 metres hurdles, 400 metres hurdles, javelin throw and wheelchair racing.

The women compete in the 800-meter run, 100-meter hurdles, high jump, triple jump, pole vault, hammer throw and wheelchair race.
