Naomi Scott and Lukas Gage play the main roles in the sequel


The audience will be delighted with the teaser trailer for Smile 2 from Paramount Pictures.

The sequel to director Parker Finn's 2022 horror surprise hit is scheduled to hit theaters on October 18. In the sequel, Kyle Gallner returns as Joel, alongside newcomers Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage and Rosemarie DeWitt.

“Something really crazy is happening to me,” Scott says in the trailer. “I see this face all the time, everywhere.”

Later she screams: “Stop smiling at me!”

Finn wrote and directed the sequel to Smilewhich is based on his short film Laura didn't sleepMarty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner and Robert Salerno serve as producers of the new film.

The first Smile revolves around a psychiatrist (played by Sosie Bacon) who is tormented after witnessing a traumatic incident with a patient. The film grossed $216 million worldwide against a $17 million budget, and Finn signed a first-look deal with Paramount.

Gage spoke with The Hollywood Reporter Earlier this year, he reported that he had to dry heave during the filming of the movie due to the intensity of the scenes. “I was really shocked at how intense it is on the day,” said the euphoria Standout said at the time. “You just think, 'Oh, this is acting, it's going to be OK,' but this movie is so scary. The whole crew was terrified. Just that smile is so scary, and then you add in the bloodiest scenes.”

The actor also praised Finn for recapturing the magic of the original film. “He just takes it to the next level and we have some really cool cameos in this film,” Gage said.
